Optimal U is a functional medicine practice that offers a range of innovative, holistic solutions to support you in optimizing your health.
Call us at: (630) 923-6788
Absolutely! Given the current times, it’s entirely up to you whether you prefer to come into the office or use Telehealth. Our practitioners love seeing their patients in person but understand the convenience and importance of Telehealth.
Telehealth is rapidly gaining popularity. If you are an Illinois resident, you can be seen virtually, even as a new patient. While we are working to expand our services to other states, current regulations limit us to providing care only to Illinois residents.
By not accepting insurance, we can focus entirely on providing you with the best possible care. Insurance contracts often limit the services we can offer, which can compromise the quality of care you receive.
Without these restrictions, we can dedicate more time to each patient, ensuring thorough and personalized treatment which will truly benefit your health and well-being.
We appreciate your understanding and are committed to offering you the highest standard of care.
Optimal U does not participate in Medicare or accept insurance for appointments.
However, we can provide you with invoices to submit to your insurance company. Please note, reimbursement is not guaranteed, and we do not handle claims or contact insurance companies directly.
It is the patient’s responsibility to know and understand their medical insurance plan and coverage. We will provide you with a billing summary that you may submit to your insurance for reimbursement. There may be procedures or lab tests that are not covered depending on your plan’s rules.
Consider using programs like Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), Medical Savings Accounts (MSAs), Health Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), or Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs) to help offset healthcare costs.
We accept cash, credit card, check, or debit card.
We have functional medicine practitioners who can address many of your healthcare needs. However, we cannot serve as your primary care provider (PCP) for insurance purposes.
You will need to maintain a separate PCP for insurance. If you do not have one, we can provide recommends for a suitable PCP.
At Optimal U Wellness, we understand that life happens and you may need to reschedule your appointment.
When you book an appointment, we reserve that time for you and prepare accordingly. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 48 business hours in advance.
- Follow-up appointments: Cancellations or rescheduling within 24 business hours will incur a $150 fee. No-shows will be charged the full amount of the scheduled appointment.
- New patient appointments: No-shows or cancellations within 48 business hours will be charged the full appointment fee.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping us serve all our patients effectively.
Absolutely! However, we ask you find childcare for any small children or infants as some appointments can be lengthy.
No. At this time, we do not treat anyone under 18 years of age.
Patients can choose any lab, but we recommend selecting one covered by your insurance.
Some specialty tests may not be available at labs partnered with your insurance. In such cases, Optimal U has partnered with certain labs to offer lower prices.
Please verify deductibles and reimbursements with your insurance company. Optimal U is not responsible for understanding or answering questions on individual insurance coverage.
